NIGHT GUARDS (Occlusal Guards)

Night guards help to protect from grinding and clenching while sleeping or for wearing during the day in times of high stress. Your dentist is able to design a comfortable night guard, which will do an excellent job protecting your teeth.

Some people find night guards uncomfortable, which is why your dentist can design a slim version using Invisalign technology. These Invisalign guards are practically invisible, and they can double as a daytime guard too.

Wearing a night guard may help to alleviate joint or jaw pain for those people who experience teeth grinding or TMJ symptoms. A nightguard will also protect those more costly dental procedures such as dental crowns, implants and bridges, all of which can be damaged by teeth grinding. Nightguards also help to prevent drifting or shifting of the teeth during sleep.

Your teeth can last a whole lifetime with proper care. Your dentist is there to aid proper attention and protection of your teeth and cosmetic investment.

ATHLETIC GUARDS

Athletic guards are the perfect teeth protection for all patients who enjoy playing contact sports such as rugby, football, hockey, or lacrosse.

Your dentist can design a sports guard that is comfortable, slim, and non-chafing, so you have excellent cushioning and protection when playing contact sports.

SNORE GUARDS

While asleep, the soft tissue at the back of the throat vibrates as the jaw relaxes. This causes snoring and, sometimes, an interrupted sleep.

A snore guard will reposition the lower jaw by bringing it forward to open the airway for more efficient airflow and reduced snoring, making for a more restful night’s sleep.
