Porcelain Veneers
A porcelain veneer can change the shape, size and colour of one tooth or a whole smile. Veneers are used to remove gaps, straighten teeth, whiten teeth, and correct badly worn teeth caused by grinding. They look and feel just like natural teeth.
These thin porcelain caps are bonded to the outside of the tooth, where the application takes only two visits and needs minimal removal of the original tooth structure. Veneers are natural-looking and very durable and have been used for cosmetic restoration throughout dental history. The material is compatible to sit next to gums, and they are the best solution for the front teeth too.
What Should you expect?
These veneers are resistant to stains, and they are strong, so they will resist chipping better than fillings. Ensuring an excellent at-home oral hygiene regime and having regular dental exams will ensure long-lasting veneers. Veneers can, however, be damaged from nail-biting or biting into hard candy or ice.
